Who can join the Blue Charm for Asthma program?
This program is intended for residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are the age of majority (18+), have been diagnosed with asthma, and prescribed a medication that is specifically indicated for asthma (i.e., controller inhaler, rescue inhaler, injection, etc.).
How does the program work?
Over a 12-week period, eligible users can earn $10 per week by reading health-related lessons and providing feedback via surveys in the Blue Charm mobile app. Funds can be redeemed by submitting a claim in the app and providing required documentation of an eligible health expense. Verification of your eligibility for the program will be requested prior to claim approval.
How can I access funding?
Funding is received via reimbursement by submitting a claim in the Blue Charm app. Learn how to submit a claim.
Which health expenses are eligible for funding?
Blue Charm funds can be used for the reimbursement of out-of-pocket costs associated with medical expenses and professional health care services. Eligible expenses are those which are commonly covered by private health plans.
If you have health insurance, Blue Charm will reimburse the remainder of the cost after your coverage has been applied. Reimbursement amounts will be approved up to the maximum balance of funds available in your Blue Charm account at the time the claim was submitted.
Please note, claims may be subject to taxation. Blue Charm does not deduct taxes on your behalf. Be sure to retain your proof of reimbursement for tax filing purposes.
